DELPRO Wind has an enviable track record in safely installing and maintaining the medium and high voltage electrical systems of onshore and offshore wind farms. Projects on which the company has worked include:
Horns Rev II
Every year since 2012 DELPRO Wind has undertaken high voltage maintenance work on 91 Siemens 2.3MW turbines at the Horns Rev II offshore wind farm, 37 miles west of Esbjerg, Denmark.
Working under a contract with the wind farm’s owner, DONG Energy Wind Power, DELPRO Wind carried out servicing on the turbines’ Ormazabal CGM-CGC-V 36kV switchgear, Pauwels Slimline 33kV transformers and Ekor relay protection.
Global Tech I
Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s specialist jack-up vessels Bold Tern and Brave Tern, in partnership with Global Wind Service (GWS) and DELPRO Wind, transported and installed 75 towers and nacelles, and 22 rotor stars in eight months at the Global Tech I wind farm in the German North Sea.
Fred. Olsen Windcarrier and GWS started on the project in January 2014, with DELPRO Wind subsequently working on the installation of the high voltage equipment. The final turbine was completed in late August 2014, when Global Tech I became the third project in German waters for the Fred. Olsen related companies.
Kentish Flats Extension
In August 2015, DELPRO Wind completed the high voltage reassembly of 15 MHI Vestas V112-3.3MW turbines for the Kentish Flats extension.
Preassembly took place in the port of Esbjerg, Denmark, and, thanks to the work of a highly efficient project team, installation took place at the rate of one turbine every three days.
DELPRO Wind was responsible for the high voltage installation, including VLF testing of the complete high voltage installation.
